A quick mental reset before or during the drive lets make life a little less stressful when out there driving....
1️⃣ Hands on the wheel, breathe once
Breath In through your nose, slow exhale through your mouth.
In your head say:
“I choose calm.”
This sets your internal tone without any ritual feel.
2️⃣ Check your posture
Sit up just a little taller, shoulders relaxed, calming your breathing.
Say (silently or softly):
“My space. My peace.” repeat this as many times as you feel you need.
This signals your brain to hold healthy boundaries especially before dealing with stressful people or places.
3️⃣ Visualize your car as your bubble
But in a practical way: Lets not close our eyes while driving!!
Imagine the windows and doors as a barrier from other people’s moods, noise, and energy.
“What’s outside stays outside.” Again repeat this as many times as you need.
No mystical language — just a clear mental rule this is not woowoo people this is basic calming practices.
4️⃣ Release what you’re carrying
When you stop at a red light or slow zone, roll your shoulders once or wiggle your fingers.
Silently say:
“I let go of what isn’t mine.” ( again please still be paying attention to the road at al times)
This stops you from replaying conversations or absorbing other people’s chaos. Ignore the negative energy outside of you and your car...
5️⃣ One line to finish
As you pull up to your destination:
“I bring only what helps me.”
That’s it strong boundary, simple wording, minimal chaos.
